    how do you cope with the wears of the flash? iam looking for a way to have my system default in readonly unless i want to install something. do you have something for that? i am not running any desktop environment

    • The chances are that the flash drive will last long enough not to be a problem. I tend to use tmpfs, by setting a line in /etc/fstab and customising in /etc/default/tmpfs, but I doubt it makes a huge difference.

      If you are concerned then there are certainly tricks you can use, and this Ask Ubuntu topic seems to answer the point better than I could.
